Slowly piling up

Posted in me on October 7, 2008 by suziemclean

I know I shouldn’t be doing this but I’m slowly counting the days that I have left before I have to go to work. Hate it!

It wouldn’t be so bad if I only had actual work to look forward to. I can handle that. What is worse is that I still have that “unofficial” work to finish too.  God, I can’t wait for it to end!

So after taking a few days of break, I resumed doing my most dreaded task of all – reading page after page of documents for errors. It sounds easy — technically it is — but it’s the most irritating thing in the whole wide world. Imagine having to go through seven sets of 300-page documents!!! T___________T Someone please save me from this misery!!

I have about 3 more sets to go. It’s really NOT humanly possible for one person to finish all 7×300 pages in 10 days, especially when the documents have loads of technical errors. I don’t know how I’m going to survive this. Well, at least I have tried my best and I will keep on trying.

Anyway, tomorrow I’m going back to Shah Alam. Technically I start work on Monday but I’m going to have to go to the other office starting tomorrow as soon as I reach KL. Not looking forward to that. *Sigh*.

What to do… duty calls.

Guess what?

I’ve always wondered when the movie makers will make an adaptation of the Shopaholic series into a movie.

I guess I don’t have to wonder anymore. The movie is out next year and the trailer is here (above).

That’s the good news. The bad news is Rebecca Bloomwood nee Brandon speaks in an American accent and so does her best friend, Suze.

The stacks of unpaid credit card bills are there but it’s not the same if Bex is an American!

Anyway, I’ll probably go and watch the movie when it’s out. I’m curious to see all the stuff that Bex buys. From the trailer, I think Isla Fisher did a great job as Becky Bloomwood. I’ve always imagined Becky looking more like Rachael Weiss actually but not as young as Isla does in the trailer.

And I’ve always imagined Luke Brandon to look ruggedly handsome like Dr McSteamy or Leo DiCaprio in Blood Diamond.

Anyway, I guess the film makers are allowed some creative licence.

Well, I’m off to sleep. Later!
